Jeff Robson aka Waterboy

So i just watched the interview with Jeff on the Parramatta website and it brought a smile to my face. This bloke absolutely love this club.I loved how he sumed himself up as a "Battler" Made me laugh. Now the main reason for this blog is depending on what he chooses to do next year to play on or not, He mentioned he would still love something to do with this club.My idea is say Jeff decided to retire next year is to have him as our on ground trainer running the waters for the boys. Depending on our halves situation next year he could really be another voice out on the field helping the boys out, Kinda like Alfie Langer does for Queensland and Broncos. Jeffs never been known to do flashly stuff on the field he just does the basics and gets the boys around the field. Having him out the watching over our attacking plays and calling stuff out for them would be ideal and he seens to have a great relationship with BA and understands what he wants. He could be a real asset to the team in the future if he takes up this role. What are everyones thoughts on this? Thanks.

  • Good solid player. Grand Final halfback.

  • Has great relationship with BA in what all of the 4 weeks he has been here !!

    • BA worked with him when he and kearney were there first up ,keep up
    • Worked together for a season his last here kearneys 1st
  • It's a pity he didn't come back a few years ago. We could have done with his experience during the Sandow years. Jazza I'd love to see Jeff involved in the club into the future in some way.

    • Very true Longy. He would have been a perfect steady foil...love the old fashioned honest worker style footy player mixed with a bit of spice, perfecto!

Actually, think he'll be a great mentor for up and coming halves and hope he can hang around, in the same way I would've liked to see Gordon utilised here post playing days...oh for an open cheque book.
  • Top bloke... loves Parra... couldn't be further from a prima donna if he tried. Could do far worse than having more people like him in the NRL. Be happy to see him stick around the club post-playing.
