  • I think if Lowrie doesnt take the 50k we have offered him, JC will be wearing a Parra Jersey in 2010.
  • Absolutely no cash though, unless we can offload someone on big bucks??
  • Eric Grothe will go. That will free up plenty of cash to keep Lowrie and sign Cayless
    • why so sure grothey will go?
    • yeah this i don't really understand.. last year we thought we'd seen the last of him, but as soon as he finds out DA is coming back to the club, he trains harder than anyone else in the off-season, n has a great season under DA.. and how hes gonna chase the bigger bucks ?? i really hope not
  • don't want another powderpuff cayless, we are trying to get rid of the one we got, not add another one.
  • I dont understand why we are signing another prop when we have already just signed Poore and Shackleton who are both props.

Surely signing Jason means that Mannah will miss out on 1st grade. We should be trying to develop Mannah instead of signing a prop with 2yrs left in his career.

Nathan Cayless will be leaving at the end of 2010 meaning Poore will become our new no. 8 for the next 5 yrs. This means that Mannah will become our main bench prop if Shackleton is playing 2nd row. But i have a feeling that Shackleton will end up playing prop off the bench and Ben Smith will get the no. 12.

My point is Shackleton and Mannah are at early stages in their career and have showed much promise. The 1st grade spots should go to them not Jason Cayless who is not the solution or a part of it for Parra.
    • agree with you 100% mate mannah is the future of our prop revolution and hes been outstanding he deserves to keep his spot
    • Pugger, I hear what your saying but any team that is a chance of winning a premiership needs at least 20 to 22 players of first grade standard. Players get injured, lose form, there's the rep season. You want players to step in who are as good as the ones you lose. Thats when you win premierships

Everyone is constantly asking where do we fit this player in, where does this player go. Well, if they're not playing as well as someone else in the side they go play for Wenty for a time until they're needed, then they get to step up and show they should be in the 17. Its a great thing for a roster if people feel like they need to earn their place in the 17 week in, week out.
  • why should we have him back????????

i dont know why he is so excited (jason cayless) he did not want to be here before! he jumped ship when we needed him and left for the roosters and when that fell through he chased the money in england as far as i am concerned he is in the same boat as lyon....as soon as we went through a tough and unsuccessful season they bailed on us now we are winning and possibly a premiership he is excited about the idea of playing here again!!!! Please!!!!

And who would he replace? Lowrie? Mateo? or even Mannah? fairdinkum he is kidding himself.
