I can't see Hayne wanting to play at Souths with Inglis there. Does he want to play in the centres? Because they won't move Sutton and they won't move Inglis. I don't think Jarryd should be negotiating for the captaincy, that's the coach's domain so leave it out. If the salary cap is upped a fair amount then this would probably be feasible. Although I see $800K plus would also include 3rd party deals. IMO Jarryd, whilst the great player he his, isn't the right fit for the captaincy at Parramatta. We need a player who doesn't clock off and who isn't lazy at training. I heard that when he was asked to do an extra run last season he refused.
I don't care who was coach, Jarryd made it pretty clear there that he likes to do what he wants, we can't have a captain setting that example. That's why I think it should be one of the senior forwards like Ben Smith, Keating, Maitua or Mannah. I wouldn't have a problem with any of those 4. They all bust their guts and give 100%. I'd be leaning towards either Keating or Mannah. Keating plays the full 80 usually and will give you everything. Mannah has had to lead the Blues forward pack alongside Gallen and has been seen by Stuart as a future leader.
as i said last week hayne is going to stay at parra
Who knows SE22 Jarryd could be a different person if given captaincy.
He know he's not getting any younger and he wants a premiership...
I really wish Maitua would stop being mentioned as a possible captain. As much as I agree he may have developed the qualities and experience I just dont view him as a significant blue and gold parra icon thats all. Mannah and Benny definatley tick that box for me. Keating will have to prove himself to keep his spot and Hayne just does not have the temperment for it. I can see him snapping and saying something completley idiotic to a ref or worse team mates when we under the pump and shit goes down. Whilst its good to get agro at your team when needed you need to be constructive with it. I dont see that ability in Hayne with people management skills.
how can anyone guarantee a premiership....lol
was thinking the same thing
Melbourne has before. They know guys in pink shirts
At least we know this is a s'LEE zy rumour. LOL
NEXT !!
Waste of $800K pa.
Or he could crack under the strain of leadership. Think about it. If Parra's defending and a penalty is given against us. Jarryd would have to run from 30m away to talk to the ref and then have to run further back to get in position. Whereas someone in the forwards would only have to jog from 10m away.
LOL Donnsta, ''theres no reason why renie cant do the same''
Your cracking me up with your attraction to Renie, he is not Steve Edges butthole.....
Renie is a glorified park footy player D.....
He wouldnt be allowed to lace Edgys boots..
You just wanna boof him D, and your judgment is clouded by lust.....
