JARRAMATTA OR PARRAMATTA ?

Looking at the season to date and the season remaining we have to ask ourselves are we still a one player team ?

Eels are going great at home , not so good in away games . Eels going well with an inform Hayne but cant win without him still . So are we a one man team ?, has times changed ? . This is what I want to discuss in this blog . What are your thoughts . CAN we win without Hayne in 2014 ?  ARE WE PARRAMATTA OR JARRAMATTA

Explain your views and reasoning please .

CHEERS

EME

PS   CAN SOME ONE MAKE THE BIGGEST JARRAMATTA BANNER , It would look great at the home games .

Jamesey would be the ma to design it - he is an absolute legend with his creativity .

  • It was always gunna take more then a year to build the right culture after so many bad years, but we are on the right track. It seems this year the players string a few games together then show up with an Half assed attitude and all I can put it down too is that the team are still just happy to just get a few wins. This is why I still think we need to shed a few players and buy players like watmough we need players to bring that winning attitude and culture with them. If we are not careful this poisonous culture that was been around the club the last few years will affect the juniors and as talented as they are will waste there talent thinking not having a go at training and winning a few games a year is acceptable!
  • Crappamatta.

  • Nothing wrong with a "one man team" if you're winning premierships. Hopefully Hayne can steer Parra in the right direction.
  • It's alright if you put the right players aroun that player. We need to get rid of crap like Sefa, Kelly and the likes of Smith and Fui to retire or be moved on as they are to old or slow from injuries and replacing them with players like Watmough who have the winning attitude and gives their all every game, even when caring injuries.

  • I do agree however I think we are in a much better position then last year.Look at our 3 big losses.

    Roosters No Peats

Cowboys Hayne Injured and Peats wasn't 100%

Penrith No Hayne & Peats was injured. You could argue that Peats got injured well into the game but he has been playing with a dud knee since the Cowboys game

You look at the above and yes it doesn't look good for the rest of the year with Peats out but this yr we have made big steps in the right direct and we a fit Peats guiding us around and full yr under our belts I think this time next yr we will be much improved again.I think we could maybe do with 1 more Mongrel in our pack

    • Peats and Hayne are born leaders. Last week without either we looked like a directionless lost ship that no-one looked capable of steering. For me last week showed it's not just what Hayne does with the ball as without.

Hayne WILL guide us out of trouble the others just have to stick solid work hard and do their jobs.

  • Yes we are miles better than last year, though that would not take much. If we want to win a gf we have to keep improving, which means off loading weak players and bring in better players with the right attitude. Players like Watmough.
