I know I have posted these type of stories before but with Jamal Fogarty, why wasn't he ever given a go at Parramatta?. I remember we signed him from Burleigh in 2017 I believe but he never got a first grade game, he was always just stuck in reserve grade playing for Wentworthville. I remember posting about it on the time through one of the Parramatta pages and I had a few Parra fans laughing at me saying "You know nothing about rugby league, he's a shite player etc". I will admit he's no superstar but he has turned out to be a handy player in the NRL. He was one of the differences for Canberra against us and then tonight he scores two tries against Wests.

Some blokes just take longer to mature. Fogarty got a couple of games with the Titans when he was 23 then didn't play NRL again until he was 26. He turns 30 at the end of this year. Good on him for finally getting there but he's nothing special.
There's only been one inexperienced 7 Brad has been comfortable calling the shots in NRL and thank Fk he's gone for Brads, his and our sakes. " Never put my family first ahead of the club " dilutsional ass . Fogerty did take longer to mature but he was leaps and bounds ahead of where Jake was when he was getting NRL chances. Had guided a team to a Qld cup title for starters.
This
Wtf has this got to do with Jake.
He was at Parra when we were playing Ken edwards and Brad Takairangi as halves . Whether he was a long term option or not with his personal situation I don't know but there was definitely times he was an option as a fill in and his form warranted it imo.
Edwards never played in the halfs while Fogarty was here, only the year before
BA don't give away jerseys easy
It wasn't just us who didn't give him a run. No NRL club wanted him for years.
Unless your surname started with an A
JF was only in our system half a season. Most of the time he was here Norman was our half and the Guth to 5/8 experiment was still taking place
