Parramatta Eels have today announced the contract upgrade of Jakob Arthur to our NRL Top 30 squad for the 2021 and 2022 seasons.
Jake has progressed through the Eels pathways system from the U14s development team, Harold Matthews, and SG Ball teams through to the NRL Development squad in 2021.
Parramatta Eels GM Mark O’Neill said that after strong performances in NSW Cup, Jake deserved his opportunity to join the Eels top squad.
“Jake has impressed the coaches, staff and players across the 2021 season. He has an incredibly calm demeanor and talented football brain.
“You would have to search a long way back to find another player with the same passion and determination to succeed.
"Jake has developed through our Pathways program and is currently studying a Bachelor of Sports Coaching at university which is important to ensure his life is balanced off-field so he can perform to his best on-field,” he said.

So now that's hes been upgraded he can now play against the Warriors. He must certainly be something special.
We will soon see hey Wong?
Don't you think O'Neill would've upgraded him regardless - based on talent and potential?
I think brown might be move position eventually maybe centre only one try assist all year
Stop trying to make Dylan Brown to centre happen. It's not going to happen.
I think if D.brown bulked up he'd easily play lock
A bit like how Matterson bulked up?
Matterson was always big. He was as big as a backrower when he was playing 20s for us.
End this romance with try assists, the way Dyllan is positioned is two off the ruck, you will find a lot of his passes are to the eventual try assist......that's where BA wants him.....if you think that is not right and he was not doing the job asked...BA would have dropped him.
You blokes that read stat's are fine but it is not a simple situation of 1.2.3. and expecting the next number to be 4, it may be 6.
1 - 2 - 3 - 6.
I see what you did there you Crafty Old Bastard.
Nice work.
