Hes 2 years off the pace and physically of 1st grade . He made the same poor defensive reads in Cup and has no chance of succeeding here.
I don't say this to bag him, picking him again is bad for his development.

100% agree. His sliding is so bad, matto was trying to slide to, but Arthur wouldn't. It left blake look worse than he was.

Chiefy, 18 year olds are very difficult to pick pace wise,as they go in and out of growth spurts..... he could be very different in a year or two's time or you could be right Chiefy....BUT I have seen it with kids at this age and they can change speed wise very quickly. Must admit he looked tired and overawed today.

In fairness it was his 2nd game and no one expects him to be perfect . He doesn't have the size to tackle 1 on 1 that's fair . He's going to come up with costly misses , also taken into consideration.
But plugging him straight into the Dylan Brown role in the system shows again how limited his dad is as a coach. Manly were toying with him , absolutely consuming him with their shape . The scary thing about BA's coaching is you knew that was where we were going to be attacked and BA had no answers .
If he plays him next week Souths left edge will put 50 on us .

I would put Carty in there against south and when DB is back make sure Cartwright knows he is a forward
That's why I was critical of his selection in the first place. If he wasn't BAs son, no chance he gets picked. So many better options than an untried youngster that still needs to grow into his slight frame.
But you can bet your bottoms dollar he plays again next week.
I think Rankin will come in next week. I wouldn't move Carty there.
Arthur and Moses were shit tonight. I thought they were our worst 2 players tonight, with the third being Blake.
