Jakey Arthur is signing with Moanly effective immediately.

Manly have produced a surprise mid-season signing by securing Eels halfback Jake Arthur.

Arthur will link Manly with on Monday for his first training session after requesting an immediate release from Parramatta.

Arthur, who has been stuck behind star halfback Mitchell Moses at Parramatta, had been linked with a move away from the Eels earlier this month.

  • I couldn't be happier for the kid. Hopefully, he plays the house down.

    Go get em!

    • Best thing for him and us

      • Maybe Manly's first step to lure Daddy away from the west.

        • Imagine BA winning a comp at Manly, interview at full time "The difference between Parramatta and Manly is the fans here really support the team.. the whole community got behind us"

    • Bwahahaha! thank fuck he's not going to take up any more air space here.

GOODBYE THE NEPO KID! THANKS FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

  • If true this is the best thing for him, the pressure of being the coaches son is immense and really he shouldn't have been put in this position.

    • The only pressure came from fans, dad & son combo has worked at other clubs, this is him dealing with the hate. Especially those arseholes that fronted him in Canberra.

      • The booing and such is disgraceful but fans see what they see, a player getting first grade games that wasn't ready for first grade. There was always going to be nepotism claims in this situation.
