Jake Granville Targetted Before De Gois

Apparently we offered Jake Granville a pretty good 2 year deal and he accepted, only for the Broncos to deny his release. He'll be starting hooker this week for Brisbane with MCullough out with a knee injury. To be quite honest I would have rathered Granville at the start of his career than De Gois at the end, but I'm still keen on seeing how he goes this week & from now on.

  • Not wrong mate. I saw some old footage on TV the other day and Keating was walking down the tunnel followed by Roberts. I deadset shuddered.

  • We did sign him for 3 years though, so that's fairly long term anyways.

  • And how refreshing is it not to hear of anything until everything is finalised?

  • Assuming Peats will be back on the paddock next season we needed an experienced hooker now, not long term. De Gois has years of it including 80min efforts. I doubt whether Granville has any more FG experience than Pritchard.

  • lol

I never heard of them, but you have, Chuck.

Besides, I'm more of a Cosmopolitan man.

  • I believe the de gois signing will prove to be a master stroke by Arthur. Whilst not peats the bloke can play and is as tough as nails. It will rescue our season. Kelly ain't up to it.
  • I'd honestly rather DeGois at this stage of the season. He's been around a while and in a few different systems he would be a better option to fit in quicker to our play than a rookie. If it was earlier in the year then I'd rather a rookie

"I think the disappointing part for Pensini was the poor defence last week against Melbourne. Yes everyone was shit. But he missed a one on one tackle for Leo to score. He also got burned in the frist half by Leo but Iongi saved the day."
