From all accounts talks have broken down between the Dogs and Prestons management around his asking price of $800K. It appears that he will test the market.
Also, Matt Burton is looking at a massive pay cut from the Dogs.
Should we go all in for both of these guys or is $800K overpriced?

I think I worded the last paragraph incorrectly. Preston is $800K.
I'd target Burton over Preston. We have enough on the edges currently.
The article that I read this from did say that a rival Sydney club are keen for Burton. Me personally, I hope its Parra.
On the Preston front he runs some great lines. Something we miss and need desperately.

I agree Macy. Preston is just the type of player we need.
Yep he has it all. He is one of two players I often wish we could get. The other is Campbell Graham. No bs about either of them and extremely talented team players. Sort of players that others would absolutely love to have on their side. Younger players here would benefit by having present too.
we just have to all realise (including our recruitment blokes) that if they are worth 800k elsewhere we need to pay at least 100K more which given our situation is totally realistic. Couldn't care less if it's overs we need to get ball rolling in order to be an attractive destination for others considering coming to us.

We have a similar player before who runs the samw line and was working well with Dylan on the left side. His name is Isaiah Papalii. But we let him go😕.
