As for Howarth himself, is it a factor where he would be an edge back-rower inevitably? Do we need either? Never a mistake to add talent and Howarth has it. Though untapped. Issues are defence and durability.
If Melbourne system cannot get it out of him, how could Ryles and Parramatta get it out of him? They could, some players thrive in certain systems, even if it is considered worse than some.
If we signed him, would I be happy? Yeah I mean he's 25 next year, still time to develop further. Ryles knows him well so he would see something. I could see it as at least be a decent player for us.
