Jack Bostock has declared he wishes to stay at the Dolphins

So that now leaves Best as the main focus now that Jack Bostock has declared his preference is to stay in Redcliffe. It wont be easy with Herbie, Hammer and Katoa nearing the end of their deals but If he prefers to stay, they usually will make sure it gets done. Doesn't mean he will 100% stay, but makes it harder to pry him over.

  • I'd say target Herbie but would be genuinely shocked if he joined the eels lol

  • All players say they would prefer to stay at their current club, it means jack shit. If the dolphins aren't prepared to pay him what he is worth or aren't able to because of salary cap restraints he will sign elsewhere.

I really can't see them keeping both herbie and Bostock on big money, one is likely to go.

    • Think they know Herbie gone, way easier to keep Bostock. We all know roosters waiting for Herbie lol

      • Not exactly, a player can say they want to stay and the club do with the info as they please.

    • Well it does when Bostock is from interstate. The talk around was Bostock was looking at returning to Sydney. If that was the case then Dolphins didn't have a chance. It does mean something as for Sydney clubs it shows them that he is happy to stay in Queensland for right deal. Makes it even harder to get him.

      • My point is that it doesn't mean he is a done deal at dolphins although I do think he stays and herbie is more likely to go.

        • No he is not, but it changes things. Where is if he wanted to return to Sydney, you have an advantage to get him compared to he is content staying in QLD for right deal.

          • Redclffe on the Bay very nice place to live best fish and chips on the coast

  • The Fins can credibly claim they're in a premiership window right now and can probably entice some players to accept less to stay at the club in the hopes of securing a premiership.

    • Half their side off contract, they are in trouble lol
