Adrianna Col's wife rang me with the news he passed peacefully this morning.
She asked me to hold back releasing this news until now so that all family members were aware.
Col's wife and daughters have done a unbelievable job in nursing him through this period and we should be very grateful that Sir Col left us in such a loving environment.
Adrianna is very grateful for all the support afforded by this site and wonderful friendship demonstrated once we knew the extent of Col's illness.
My understanding is there will be no funeral but there will be a memorial at which I will be attending in due course.
Thanks again everyone for your acts of kindness over the past few months.
I will be putting something more up in due course with a view to celebrating Sir Col the Mushroom, one of the truly great members of the One Eyed Eel Site.

That is gut wrenchingly horrible. Knew it was coming but he seemed to be still doing ok when we spoke last. Going to be sorely missed on this site. RIP Col. You were a great fella. Condolecnces to his family. I am truly saddened by this.
