Its Brad Arthurs fault. Blah Blah Blah

Yeah they were terrible tonight and the initial game plan was dumb. But it wasnt Arther who was falling off tackles. It wasnt Arthur who didntt tackle with intent. It wasnt Arthur who didnt hunt and dominate as a pack. Next week is the test. It about getting back up. Thats the test of character. Theres a massive bunch of loosers on this site. A bunch of give ups when things arnt going our way. Sack the coach. Bring in other players. The boards a mess. Whinge whinge whinge. Dave and Wong are the worst by a mile. Daves calling for Brian Smith and Wong just doesnt answer the question of who he thinks should coach. Just go out the back and pick a coach off the coach tree you morons. Big tea spoon of cement please and wipe up those runny vaginas. Couldnt give a fuck whose been here the longest so we dont need to tip toe around that. And on top of that i ll be wearing my jersey all day tomorrow and explain to idiots who want to be smart  that im a true fan not a fair weather fan. Now bring the rubbish bitches.

    • Hahahaha good one Ape.

  • Nick, ive supported BA more then most publicly, however we as fans can not just keep excepting what they dish up, yep it happened all last year and now except for what 3 or 4 games its happening this year - Canberra / Newcastle / Melbourne. I see that it is BA's fault now because the players are never , never, never being held responsible for their bad performance by being dropped. Every time we have suffered like last night, BA has rolled out the same team next game, so they can atone blah blah blah. It was a hiccup, etc etc.  Ive supported that, just like you, for 5 or 6 years and ive called for him to be resigned, because he can coach,  but no longer. Its time for BA to show loyalty to the fans, not the players. They just throw his loyalty back in his face.

For this reason alone im now for not keeping BA, he does not show he means business by dropping underperforming players, there should be a punishment of sorts i guess, not the,  im going to play them again next week so they can atone. That mentality although a nice one, just keeps delivering what we already get.

    NO ACCOUNTABILITY.

And yes Ive got my Parramatta Jacket on today, as well, because i am a proud Eels supporter through thick and thin, win or loose !!!!

BA, honestly Thank you for your service !!, but goodbye sir.

    Go Parra

    • We have 16 players coming off contract, as far as i can tell not one has been approached by other clubs.

We need a clean out starting with the coaching staff and ending with quite a few of those players

I too wear my colours proudly, but i don't proudly support the effort of our team, in fact at times, last Night iam embarrassed with our effort.

  • I don't agree the initial game plan wasn't right. I think it was a smart move, keeping Mahony out of the initial 20min Melbourne ambush.

I guess this highlights the fact that our forward pack is not at a level/standard to hold and protect the small fella. The team knew of the ambush, the coach new it and put a plan in place but the forwards had nothing. I would repalce half of them next week, simple. These forwards can't get up for two weeks in a row, they are not of a high enough level to maintain that level of focus consistently, so they should be rotated regularly. I'd rather have a less skillful player come in and give 100% than watch that crap we saw last night.

We need NBrown badly, why is it no other Parra forward has that hard mentality and aggressiveness?

I always wanted BA to be a great coach because of his love for Parra, but i am coming to the realisation that he is not the man:

    -  he always seem to get out coached.

    - The fact he has not been able to see what is clearly obvious, many of the forwards aren't skillfull/mentaly strong enough to play consistently at a high level, these guys need to play at 90%+ level to hold it with the other packs. If a few play at 80% our remaining forwards aren't good enough to carry the load. We are then on the back foot, and then we get beaten or flogged (purely dependent on the skill level of the other team)

    - tackling as they did tonight is unforgivable. How can a club like Manly become a defence unit in one offseasn, however Parra still has the softest defence on the tryline in the comp. I cross fingers, pray, worhsip the Sun God, leave room or any other thing i can think of, for the other team not to score a try when they are attacking our line. I'm tired of it after 6 years of BA. This has not improved one little bit.

Will always support the club, but its getting hard to maintain a level of interest. Having 60+ points scored against you is unforgiveable.

  • I’m just not sure what everyone losing their shit over. We have lost to the Storm and the Roosters, one of whom will win the comp probably, the Raiders away and Newcastle away. If at the start of the year you said we would be 5 and 4 and named the games we won and those we lost you would have said well that’s probably better then I expected or at least as good as if you are a bit of an optimist.

Yes the score line was bad but the Storm were on absolute fire and scored 4 tries while we had 12 men.

At the end of the day we aren’t a 50 point better side than the tigers (who really aren’t a bad side) and the storm aren’t a 50 point better side than us but in both games once a side gets on a roll like that you can’t sto it. I’m still backing us to make the 8 and I stil reckon we can finish as high as 5th.

    • i agree with you michael. we only have to play the raiders once more at home which i think is a winnable game and the rabbitohs which i think we will lose. the rest of the season is teams on the same points as us or lower. also most of our upcoming games are at home so that will help as well. What im trying to say is that we will make the 8. BUT the problem is once we get there i cant see us making it past the second week. thats the disapointing part. it reall just depends what the fans want. if they are happy to make up the numbers in the 8 and build towards the next few seasons then i think this playing group is capable of doing that, but if the fans want this team to challenge for premiership sooner rather than later, than yes BA is not the coach and some of these players must go. Personally i would stick with BA purly based on a focus of long term success. we have good juniors coming through and TBH i dont think it was really any of the junors that let us down tonight. any dead wood in the side will be replaced by these juniors, and by having BA as head coach bringin these players in, i think the club will have a stronger culture with BA seeing the development of these players from SG ball into first grade. just my opinion becauseTBH i would be happy even if this team just made the 8 then in the next off season get rid of the dead wood and start preparing for a premiership by slowing brining in our promising juniors.

      • Yes I agree. To be honest no one outside the current top 3 sides is a legitimate chance at the comp. But we have some promising juniors as you say and money to spend on a couple more purchases. It’s not going to happen this year but we are on the improve.

        • I have heard that many times Michael in the last 33 years (1986 GF) nothings really changed, i feel the whole club needs to be spring cleaned totally.!!
