Watching today's game was very interesting. The Titans of late have been looking pretty good and have been quite a cohesive unit. With Hayne there today everything changed. He seemed to be playing in a few positions in the backline and the Titans weren't really sure what was going on. His passing and running wasn't really a feature - but he looked very good defensively and in the air. Whenever he had the ball, though, no one seemed to be sure of what was going to happen next. This made it hard for the Titans to build into a play (or phase of plays). To add to this - Hayne was trying to get busy by jumping in and demanding the ball at important times. While he has that potential for brilliance - it might just work against them this season as their cohesion might go backwards and take too long to recover. I think they have lost their momentum at a vital part of the year.

Hayne played very well today. He will probably stay at 5/8 until Roberts returns from injury and then move to fullback. He value added to the Gold Coast today and will only improve when he match fitness improves. If Hayne didn't play today the Titans would have been smashed.
Hey, FEKK Hayne. He is no longer an Eel. Move on everyone. Stuff him and stop it. Focus on our team, which Hayne is not part of. Read between the lines of BAs interview re Hayne.
