me too - one of the most heart breaking losses ever - we even managed to get a corporate box with free booze - a mate works at tripleM - leading into the semi's - Parra were RED HOT fav's to win the GF that year too

everything was good until kick off

This game was the beginning of the end for smithy then Hagan + spoons later - and here we are

Glad WE missed this in in 2014 - let me tel ya

Would have loved to see how we went against the cowboys tonight. Surely the eels would have chanced their arm and thrown the ball around. Who knows what the outcome would have been if this was the case. We were expected to not only beat the cowboys in 2005 we were favourites to win the GF where as tonight we would have been expected to get flogged. We all know the eels play their best footy as underdogs. We will never know unfortunately.
