It's time Phil Sim

How many voting members would entrust their vote to Phil Sim?

It seems that there is a big mess getting worse that  needs to be fixed, and no-one (appropriate) is stepping up to set the club in the right direction.

If enough people entrusted their vote to Phil, then this could get him at the table. If Phil had a voting bloc behind him that could force an EGM and be decisive in electing the next board, maybe we could start working with the NRL and clean this mess up?

Surely we need someone like Phil or Peter Sterling to be given the power to select a new board?

  • I would, but Phil would have to step away from this site if that were to happen and I'm not sure if he would want to do that.

    • Frankie and Snake will take over 1Eyed.

  • Tell me this 1EEers how many 1EE members would sign a motion for an EGM?
What sort of numbers do we have here?

    • If I can post here, am I a member?  if so, my vote is yes start it now.

  • Sorry - but I can't do that.

    I need a REALLY pretty face !!

Wile E, I notice you have put Phil and Peter Sterling in the same sentence - while I acknowledge that their abilities as footballers are very similar, and that they were both lady killers at Parra Leagues in their day, I think it is unfair to compare their administrative abilities. :).

Phil, if u run and get in - we need Bernie Gurr mate - it's a given.

    • Lol
Maybe if PHIL hadn't of found women we would never have heard of Peter Sterling

  • Wile, while I appreciate the sentiment, at this point I would encourage for any moves not to be about me, or anyone else for that matter. Any of those kinds of discussions come later when there is actually a void or an election. Right now, the membership needs to decide if it is proper for the membership to be able to vote on who should be running the club given the information that has come to light. There is a democratic process to go through, and if the members want that, that's the next step.

"Only thing going for us to keep him is that it's his final year, and if he wants another big contract he needs to perform. Unfortunately we are fcuked. Cheers to the signing committee."
