It’s not the battle of the west

It's the battle of the middles!

And what a match up!

JFH v RCG. The battle of the hyphens
Leota v Junior. Two absolute wrecking balls.
Yeo v Matto. The best ball playing lock v maybe the second best. Mattos ball playing has been all class this finals season.

I reckon we can match the Riff in the middle. Brown on the bench is massive for support through the middle.

We got this! Go Parra

  • Agree 100% hellmut.  I know BA will start with Nikoure for the first 20 minutes then bring on Matto because it has worked so far. I wouldnt be surprised if he started with Matto and we tried to play fast and explode out of the boxes with some width and early passes.  Browny and Nikoure can bring some direct stability after that initial onslaught.  I think we are going to roll the dice with a cracking opening and we are great leaders.  Souths were literally a smart set of six tackles from breaking Penrith . That try on half time mentally destroyed them.

    WE are a different threat.

    • For sure! Nikoure has been killing it lately. Brown coming on for RCG or Paulo we keep that intensity up! I look forward to seeing how Brown will be used.

      • I think you will see Browny starting at the A defender and coming in behind the ruck to get to API. Combined with a quick play the ball and we can create some real momentum.

  • Matto has been super impressive, he could be the difference.Reed form in the last 6 weeks has been quality taking the right options consistently - we seen some really good adjustments to our attack in the redzone, more short passing and less block's plays  which doesn't suit our style credit to the coaching staff

  • Wanted to add that Oregon has improved immensely, particularly during our winning run. He's a different type of prop to everyone else, and he's definitely held up an end. There were times during the season where when Reg and RCG went off we fell in a hole, but Oregon and Marata have both managed to keep forward momentum, and I think your bench prop performance is definitely an underrated part of a top squad.
