It is with Much Sadness that I have to advise our beloved SLUGGY passed away this morning

I have only now received a phone call from HECTOR (Bobby) a life long friend of Slugg (Geoff) advising this.

When I saw this call come through I was sort of expecting it as I was talking to him on Tuesday morning and he told me he had enough, he was quite sick for the past month or so with a Virus and was melancholy because it was the anniversary of his wife passing away in July.

Slugg was my mate, but me living in Brisbane and him at Thirlmere we never actually physically met but me and Micky Wong had a permanent phone meeting every Tuesday that would discuss all relevant things Parramatta and beyond.

We will miss him greatly and "Old Boy" if you are reading this in Heaven already, all your mates from 1EE will be saying goodbye as well in the next 48 hours.

I have been advised that "services" will be held on Monday 5th August at 11AM Uniting Church , PICTON

Parra Tragic (mark)will be on here shortly to tell the stories of who I call the most popular man this site has known, we will miss his dry humour and loving nature.

Wow this really came out of nowhere, just awful and leaves a hole in this site. Condolences to you and his family and friends. Let's hope it leads to a win tomorrow night in honour.

I have had a call from Parra Tragic just before I put this up, Tragic spoke to Geoff nearly everyday and he is currently driving, but he will come on the site and give some personal anecdotes and wonderful memories of OUR MAN SLUGG in due course.

I'm sorry to hear. Sluggy was always one with quick witt and good analysis of the goings on in the daily life of what it means to be an eels fan. He was the calming voice of 1eels. He was also a culinary genius with his tips for the soup of the day. His humour would always give us all a laugh and make our days easier.

Rip Sluggy and condolences to his clos family and friends we love sluggy. You'll always be missed.
