Is this rock bottom?

Just thinkin back to last year when we lost to the sharks we definitely hit rock bottom. After that they pulled there heads out of there ass and started playing decent footy... And I'm not referring to the winning streak at the end of last season but when we went out, had a go and started to grind some wins out. The team "clicked" a couple weeks later... Well you know the rest. My question is... After losing to the sharks who have lost 13 games in row. Have we hit rock bottom early this season. Rather than round 10 like last year it has come in round 4. Was the loss to the sharks the one that we needed to drum in some hunger and passion back in the team?Does anyone kinda agree with me?

  • Beau,

This is what alot of us have been saying! League is unpredictable at the best of times and next week is a new and different ball game.

Premierships are not won this early in the season - give it some time! :-) We WILL come good.
  • I know the argument that I've presented has been flogged off to death. But realisticly it's a lot kore positive than sack him, drop punt the coach etc etc etc etc etc etc etc ETC!

I have total faith in parra's method of madness to there football seasons of recent memory... But FFS they make it hard to keep supporting them with the way this season starts lol!
  • Everyone is just fustrated with our slow starts. But we have yet to hit rock bottom in my opinion. The players seem not to care about winning right now. But once we gel as a team mentally and physically, we will be the dream team of the league.
  • Personally i agree. I dont think things could be any worse. But from what i heard from ando after the game last night im bit worried. I dont think they seem to think of it as disgracefull as how we see it. WELL THEY BLOODY WELL SHOULD!!!
  • I might get ambushed for saying this but in reality i don't we are doing too badly. Its not like we've been flogged by anyone and we have only let in 72 points which is less than most other teams on average.

If we can ge the attack flowing and cut out the silly errors i think we will be ok as our defence at the moment is going OK.
  • I actually agree that we aren't doing too bad in defence. It's a much better start than last year. But I still don't see how much lower we can go when we can't even score a point against the second worst side in the history of the nrl!
  • Honestly as a true life time fan , i think this is the worst point for the eels , they must lift and take 3-5 next games or season 2010 is over , i believed in them last year , but they wont be so lucky now . for the eels its win now or die for the season
  • Dude last week against the tigers should of been the wake up call but no its continues
  • YEP. you stole my thunder here & agree 1000%.....if you younger fans weren't around then - you don't realise just how lucky we are as Parra fans right now, at least we still have camels and some water left :)
  • I don't know Beau. But I hope your right !

It makes me sick in the stomach to see things going so badly after we finished so well last year.
