Is this Fair? Should WADA change?

If Michael Jennings definitely tested positive, he is such a fool. But receiving the news on gameday of a semi-finals match is horrible. If he got tested on 21st September, and only receives the news today it is stupid. Surely WADA have to do better and come out with the news earlier to give eels an opportunity to adjust.

  • WADA took the sample on September 21. The test returned yesterday, NRL notified this morning. This is not a conspiracy and WADA or Sport Integrity Australia are not in the business of considering the timing of a positive test.

This is in Jennings and only on Jennings. It's highly unlikely he didn't know he was taking the substances given they are oral PEDs.

    • I am not taking any blame of Jennings. He is very stupid for doing this. I am just saying for eels sake, how is this fair to only learn about it on gameday?

      • WADA should try get their results for every player done a couple days before game days just incase postive samples occur.

        • Government pathology normally takes around 6 weeks mate no matter which state you are in.

Did I see something saying WADA has not banned this substance but ASADA has?

If you want to have a whinge about something how about the inconsistency of drug agencies and what they ban or don't ban.

WORLD anti drug association says its OK - Knuckle dragging rock apes from Oz say its bad - who do you believe?

This what happens when you let goverments run things.

          • No it's on WADA's banned list

          • In short, believe neither

        • They get them when the lab has completed the tests and compiled their report

  • They are no doubt Bunnies fans trying to derail us. Cause I can't think why this would come out on a day of a semi final!

    Silly on all counts!

  • FFS the timing is horendous

"You are right but by the very nature of the game, NRL is so subjective on the personal whims of the referee.
It's very ripe for corruption that's for sure.
How to you fix it ? You can't, without slowing the game down so much that it becomes NFL.…"
