Unfortunately in recent weeks we have seen similar performances that led us to the dreaded wooden spoon in 2018.

Early rounds of this season had us thinking the side had changed for the better, what's changed since then to make things how they are now?

Some serious questions need to be asked though, was Brown carrying Moses? Were the wingers carrying the forwards? Is Nathan Brown that big of an influence?

It's hard not to think that the side is facing yet another re-build.

Moving forward I think some drastic changes need to be made because things simply aren't working and things won't change in the future if we don't experiment.

The club should be trying to build a squad around the following:

1- Clint Gutherson

2- Mika Sivo

3-

4-

5- Blake Ferguson

6-

7- Dylan Brown

8-

9- Reed Mahoney

10-

11- Shaun Lane

12- Marata Niukore

13-

14- Junior Paulo

15- Peni Terepo

16- Oregon Kaufusi

17-

18- Will Smith

19- Tepai Moeroa

20- Nathan Brown

Notible exits:

Moses - he simply isn't cutting it, the team look poorly organised, his kicking game stinks, his game management skills are non-existent.

In reality Moses was outplayed by Will Smith last night and I would rather see Will Smith at the club on minimal money than Moses here soaking up large amounts of cap space to be a match winner when he clearly isn't.

M Jennings - It's time to plan for the future, he hasn't set the world on fire since joining the club, his future isn't here clogging the system for someone like Parry to get a chance.

Alvaro - Simply not First Grade standard, reminds me of Josh Cordoba, was always gased and a mile off the pace, he offers nothing and wouldn't even bruise a grape if he tried.

Ma'u - Still playing ok but clogging the system for youth to come in and gain experience.

Takaraingi - Time for us to part with him, he's a metre too slow for centre and to soft to play in the forwards, would be a good signing for Scone Thoroughbreds.

T Mannah - Unfortunately his efforts at the club have been greatly appreciated, would be happy for him to stay on the bench for another season to fill the void.

  • Obviously and we have all the dead weight off contract too but watch us fuck all that up too. Anybody over 30 automatically gets kicked to the curb

  • I thought Timmy Mannah was mile ahead of what Alvaro has done starting. Mannah, & Gower were both pretty good. Lane, Nikore & Ma,u had a decent go. Our outside backs need to start being outside backs not forwards. At the start of the game the forwards were hitting the line hard, then we went back to all outside backs doing the hit ups. I know that is to give the forwards a break but the last thing our forwards need is another break. If you can't keep up, piss off. Dropped ball again & again & again & again & again & again & again & again & again & again & again & again & again. Yes that's right 13 friggin times & most on the first or second tackle.

I have been a glass half full guy for a long time but this is just absolute crap.

Whats with the smiles & hugs at the end of the game. What the hell are they smiling about.

It's like it just dosn't matter.

    • I agree with the backs getting dirty so early, their energy should be spared for later in the game when the defensive forwards are tired.

    • Totally Agree on the starting of Mannah in lieu of Alvaro...anyone that watched the week before could see that the lazy junior Alvaro pairing was an absolute no no - Junior takes a while to warm into it defensively (if he is gonna at all) and Alvaro not sure what has happened to his defence and super slo mo play the balls. Is he possibly carrying an injury coz he just seems to have lost any semblance of his defensive mojo.

      • Mannahs career revival this year has been because he's coming off the bench.

I agree that Alvaro needs to go, but if you start Mannah hus form won't be aa good as ut has during the year so far

        • Still Better than getting cut right through guts from get go and letting them get their roll on mojo going ... there’s no one else that can sure it up. I thought it worked better.

  • If this is how players perform when so many of them are playing for a contract, then we are up the creek.

    • Absolutely EE and the ones that are sweet can laugh and smile at the end of the game. Watching Guth afterwards and Fergo the two weeks prior after match joy, it’s infuriating. the fans work hard for their money to come watch that poo  at least have some respect for them!

      • It sure is Macy.  You don't seem to see that sort of rubbish at the storm, where the coach and team actually have consequences for poor performance.

  • Bingo!! But think we still missed M Jennings absence.
