Is Tepai getting any better?

Are we so sure that he is going to reach this potential we keep talking about? Maybe it's just me, but it looks like he's sort of peaked. Like he was an early peaked, one of those young players that peaked a lot sooner than the other kids. Like Chris Lawrence for example. Tepai is a nice handy player but Doesn't seem to be improving. I would have thought for someone who you all say is going to be a superstar forward he would be improving noticeably. Instead, the commontators have stopped talking about him and as a result so to have the parra fans.I had a feeling alot of fans were just getting hyped up due to commentary. He is a nice handy player but as far as super stars go, or superstar potential goes, it seems as though ppl have stopped saying it.I think tepai may have peaked early and is already at his peak. That's not a bad thing, because he's a good player. But I watched tomololo play tonight and he's no tomololo. I remember there used to be ppl saying tepai was better than tomololo, I'm just not seeing it.Has he really got as much potential as ppl keep saying? Is he ever going to be one of these 700,000$ forwards that we see from time to time like a lot of fans keep predicting?

  • Fair blog Jneb. My opinion is Tepai seems to be playing in a lot tighter. I think his defence is outstanding and he hits hard, his attack is all the hard stuff, he more often than not will hit it up 1 out.
I think if he was used wider and as a hole hitter, he may get that flair that he has back..

I don't think he has peaked at all, but seems to be an integral part of the brick wall the eels are presenting.. but I would love to see him running a few lines at the smaller blokes
  • He's now playing in the middle in a less flashy role, more defence and running in the middle.  Edge players always look like the superstars of the forward pack.  He's still only 20 and holding his own after moving from the edge.  I'm sure BA is happy with his output.

  • As others are pointing out he is playing as a middle forward now. He runs it hard and tackles hard. I think he is coming along well
  • Thank you Benj, Tep is sure to have one of his best games in the next two weeks.

You have a way of inspiring people by putting them down.

PS he's a middle and this is his first time in the position. You may have written him off but I wouldn't. Do you know how BA is telling him to play? No.
    • I'll keep a look out and put forth enquiries to you when he doesn't produce any blinders in the next two weeks. I told ya! He was never gonna be the star u all claimed. Premature ejaculators.
Good for a 20year old but nothing more. Likeable human and I he has my 100% support.
My post isn't negative towards him it's negative towards you fools
  • it seems he is a lot more like Hindy than we once thought. loves defence and not so dangerous in attack.
I think he's a vital part in our defence.
    • I am pleased he is being consistently reliable without the turnstile tackles or silly mistakes . Much tidier is tep :-)
  • Isn't he, like, 20? And six games into a season where he actually has use of both shoulders? And playing a middle not edge forward role? And a terror in defense? And always willing to run the tough yards through the guys? And to work off the ball too, running decoy and support?

Writing a blog criticizing Tep is, to be frank, to not be watching his game with sufficient understanding of his role and his high rate of contribution.
    • Back to school for u buddy.
U seem to be illiterate and unable to comprehend a sentence. Plus he's defence was poor yesterday. He held on to small blokes and was being dragged along the ground as Canberra were about to score but the other players stepped in to complete the tackle. Yesterday was the poorest game he's had. Seems to have peaked. Plain and simple. He will never be a superstar mark my words. U all prematurely ejaculated. All he will be is a good player for a 20 year old and after a couple years he will be just a decent player that not many ppl know
    • Btw my comment isn't negative towards tepai. Tepai has my 100% support. My comment is honest.

My comment is only negative towards you fools that like to tell your self that because a 20year old peaks too soon and is a big guy for his age that he is gonna be a superstar lol

      I tried to warn yaz
