Cronk is a smart player and knows how to manage a game and a team. That is why he plays the GF even if he only has one arm.
If we had Cronk we would probably be in a similar position
Brissy, has there been a change to the process since then? Or legitimately the NRL made that call for Parra and are turning a blind eye here for the Roosters?
Should add that other players shouldn’t be able to adjust their active contracts to fit in another player, that’s different than a player taking a lesser contract, don’t you think?
I'd say that he will be. Even though he has been blessed with a good roster even since he joined in 2013.
I'd like to see how he would go at another club who are not going so well currently. The real super coaches/managers can go to any club and turn them around.
The only year the Roosters stuffed it up with the roster a bit due to a couple of uncharacteristic bad recruitment calls and a couple of untimely injuries the roosters ran last or second last can’t recall which. They still had a good side mind you just not clearly the best side. Robinson’s the luckiest bloke in footy to be coaching the roosters.
It was 2016, they started the year 0 and 5. Pearce was suspended for 8-10 weeks, No Cordner, No Waerea-Hargreaves, I think they were missing a few others as well.
Which goes to show where they'd be with a cap compliant side.
Robinson is a good coach no better or worse than the rest. (Through no fault of his) he's got a stacked team that makes him look like a genius.
Funnily enough, when he took over in 2013, the majority of the team had been built by Brian Smith. Smith had even recruited Maloney at the end of 2011. I still find it somewhat disappointing that in all the talk about how good of a coach Robinson is, hardly anyone mentions the work Smith did there in rebuilding the club after Fittler took over and how he put the team in a position to recruit SBW in 2013.
I don’t think you can hold a claim to be a SuperCoach unless you’ve had proven success a multiple clubs.
Gibson and Bennett are the only real super coaches in my opinion.
Bellamy needs to go to another club to prove he’s a super coach. Like Robbo, he’s also been blessed with having some of the best players play the game for long periods while being supplemented amazing talent from the Melbourne/News Corp system. To be fair, I believe that Bellamy probably could turn another team around, but I don’t think we’ll ever know. He should have went to Brisbane.

Bennett is the only current site coach but Bellamy is so close considering the storm have dominated for 10 years around 3 players. Bellamys ability to find and Foster talent is second to none. Bennett did have a pretty awesome team at the broncos
Bellamy, is the greatest at development and also finding role players
He’s great at developing talent in the Melbourne system... would he be at another club though? Probably...
