Is Michael Jennings cooked?

Ever since his return vs the Dragons he looks like he not 31 but 35.

His pace and footwork are gone and seems to offer nothing in attack.

He's only got 1 try assist in 16 games and his run metres have disappeared as you see him running sideways most the time.

Taka has 33 offloads in 20 games whilst Jenko has 8 in 16...

Is his good defense enough to justify his re-signing?

I wouldn't make him an offer before the season's end.

  • Nope, just takin up salary space.

  • Does anyone have any idea what financial terms we've offered?

I'd rather save his money which is rumours to be around 400-500K to renew and give that topping up the offer to David Fifita. We must sign him at all costs! He will make us a premiership contender.

    • if parras only offering $500,000  , for a 1 year deal , that could be why hes playing slow,,and hes coming off a knee injury..

he should be ok for the manly game no doubt

  • Mate, I agree 100% he is cooked.  Offers ZERO in attack, lost the one thing that made him better than most - SPEED.  We need a new centre and I think we need to look at options.   I believe it would be bad management to take him again becuase he defends well.  The great centres are both.  Look at the likes of Justin OLAM at Storm.  Would run through a brick wall.  They are out there.

    • I'd stick with Ethan Parry. Keep Taka on the cheapest coin possible. I don't think he's command more than 150-200K.

  • He is running on empty for sure or that knee injury is still not right either way he seems to be getting slower every game

    • right again..he fit but still having a knee problem.. wenty going ok...so maybe parry could come in for jennings

  • Still good to have, he's a great defensive centre and although not as fast he still has the abilities and experience needed.

  • It would be a mistake to sign him any more than 200k. Couldn’t break a biscuit. It reminds me of when there’s an injury and you put a second rower at centre lol.

  • I wish he’d run a hard line more often rather then cut back inside . Teams do so much video work they know he favours doing that  but it shuts down our momentum and slows the play the ball.
