IS IT FATE?

THEN there were four. And if this prophetic image from The Daily Telegraph photographer Gregg Porteous stays true to form, the Broncos will be playing Parramatta in the Grand Final - with Eels captain Nathan Cayless lifting the NRL premiership trophy next weekend.Taken in the first week of the finals at the annual captain's call, the photograph has - so far - accurately predicted in left to right order the sides that have crashed out of the title race. The Knights were the first casualties in Week 1, followed by Manly's unscripted exit. The curse of Porto's photo continued the next week with the Titans crashing out the night before the Dragons capitulated. It is a worrying sequence for Andrew Ryan's Bulldogs, who - if the trend continues - are next in line to bow out. Cameron Smith should also be concerned, leaving Lockyer and Cayless to fight out the Big One - with the Eels captain the last man standing. The theory may sound absurd, but given the unpredictability of this year's season, who would discount it?
