Is Cameron Smith the best hooker of all time?

I would have to say yes.

Seriously, it doesn't matter who you had in that forward pack, Smith's dummy half work is just so freaking good, engaging the markers, they automatically  get a free-run to the advantage line.

You only have to look at the record of both Melbourne and Queensland, and yes he's surrounded by some top players but he really is simply at another level compared to any other rake in the comp, and I think generally today's hookers are a class above past generations because they are required to do so much more.

  • im still not sure on that id like to see him actually consistently carry a team on hes own like buderus and farah do  as much as i hate farah hes very underated because the media love marshall
  • I would have gone for Shane Muspratt or Lee Hopkins?
  • Please.........He is behind Noel Kelly,Steve Walters,Benny Elias,Danny Buderus
  • If I had to choose a 17 of all-time, Smith would be the first player I'd choose.
  • He is very strong smart and has the correct attitude, Sometimes he is a grub but still a fantastic hooker.

I like Robbie, as he is not a Grubby player.

  • Yes!

I used to think Steve Walters was the best I had ever seen.

I would pick Cameron Smith over any other hooker ever, within the structure of todays game, the role of the hooker is so different to the days of Noel Kelly etc.

  • Hate him with passion.

Hurts to much to say anything nice about him
