Im hearing a lot of people pencil in Bev to a wing spot when Moses comes, fair call as far as attack goes, he's brilliant and will score plenty but can we carry his defence and size on the wing?

I dont think we can, his defence is a big liability out wide, hes out muscled, out jumped, and a big liability especially close to the line, he will be targeted as sure as day and exploited by his rivals.

Big Fan of Bevan but at the moment im struggling to find a spot for him in the team.

Where would you play him or would you play him at all?

  • Moving French to Wing and Gutho to full back is worse than Gutho 5/8 and French FB. We were found wanting several times last year having big men run at French who is too light to even hold his man for the cover defence to help out. Can French ever stop a Daniel Tupou running full pelt at him? I don't think so.

  • We used to get around Sterlo's poor defence by switching him with Taylor when defending but I don't think we can do something like this now.

    • Sterlo"s poor defence!? I cant agree with that statement! Sterlo rarely missed a tackle and had no problem bringing down the big men.

    • Sterlo's poor defence? best boot lace tackler around, along with Turvey

    • It's not a matter of French having to wait his turn. He's a liability in defence on the wing but you have to keep him is as he's a good support player and a killer in broken play.

    • Jarryd was a big strong winger, he can play anywhere.

Burt was imo a total defensive failure as a winger, i used to bag him out all the time and his defence in the games that mattered was shithouse sorry browny, imo anyway.

Im a fan of taller and bigger wingers, always have been.

A very good team might be able to carry a small winger whos a poor defender because of his brilliance in attack, i dont think we are there yet.

    • BA knows his limitations. I'm expecting he'll play the best option available for Parra. He sees the players in training every day.

  • He is bigger than last year
Just need to have blockers in place for the high ball
