Is Benny a rep player in the making?

Is now a very polished back rower with all the skills.

Great in D, really great...

Runs great lines and supports really well.... looks like he has some confidence in those knees and was stepping in wet conditions.

Will never have the robustness of a Thaiday or the endurnace of a Gallen.... and has at least 7 or 8 backrowers ahead of him in NSW alone.... but he is not far off. Just needs to find half a gear IMO.

  • Yeh I was thinking the same thing last night. If he keeps up his good form I believe he will definitely play city vs country next year and push for a blues spot.
  • Ben Smith is one of the most underrated players in the team.

He is a team player, he works hard in defence, is an honest toilet and we miss him desperately when he is not there.

I don't think he would let anyone down playing Origin.

My sign says he is 10/10 but truth be told, he is at least 15/10!! :-)
    • lol honest toilet :)
    • Yeah its hard to come by an honest toilet these days.
    • Great! My attempt to praise Benny failed. My stupid iPhone!!

Benny is an unung TOILER :-) and a genuine nice guy too.

P.S. I am sure Benny would also make an honest toilet! ;-D
    • Know what I just hate? When you go to the toilet and it tells you a lie!
    • Oh I love you Tinkerbell. I'm an honest Crapper as well. Nothing gives me the shits more than a dishonest Crapper.
      I'm Ken Crapper (honest)
  • He is incredibly important to the side - I rate his influence alongside Hindy's. He leads our linespeed, he works hard off the ball and he gives us an attacking threat on the fringes. He's really settled into the second row now. I honestly wouldn't swap him - I think he brings more to the table as an all-round player than say Ben Creagh, who plays the same type of role.

It's also worth noting how great our balance is now in terms of backrow. Hindy as the worker in the middle, Smith as the hard runner on the fringes, Feleti as the ball player and Horo as the impact second rower off the bench.
  • i agree he is fantastic

why did he go off early last night? the trainers at the time indicated some sort of injury
or was he just in need of a rest?

"Why not both? Cleary can't step up in origin and Daley is a terrible coach. There was pretty much the same amount of panthers/ex-panthers players in the team as last year (Edwards, To'o, Crichton, Luai, Martin, Yeo, Leniu etc), yet Cleary couldn't…"
