Anthony Mundine defending " Vaghan", you would have to listen to Mundine he is without doubt one of the greatest intellects to have ever walked the planet.
i think the overall punishment doesnt fit the crime to be honest.
the fine should stand, the suspension should stand, terminating his contract is about managing their salary cap.
Jack De Belin and Corey Norman would have followed suit if it wasnt the case.
According to reports it was a 3 strikes and you're out policy with Vaghan. There was some sort of sexting thing going on previously apparently. Then last year he used a different name and didn't QR at a cafe. Apparently the drags had been trying to get rid of him for a while. Either enjoys thumbing his nose at authority, or is not the sharpest tool in the shed. Maybe both.
i am not across all the details (probably shouldnt comment on the topic...) but did he invite all the players over or did they just invite themselves over? he ultimately could have told / asked them to leave if that was the case.
Apparently he invited the players for a bonding night, and to watch the Saturday night games on TV. The players were seen from about 4PM walking into his place with slabs of beer. De Belin told the league he was just walking past Vaghan's place fo drop something in, and was walking his dog. I also heard or read, all the players had a zoom meeting to get their stories right beforehand. Whether that is true or not, I don't know. Very dodgy

His actions put the entire league at risk, his many people, players , coaches, administrators, referees, broadcasters would suddenly be without a pay cheque because of his actions ?
Its not his first infraction and they were given explicit instructions to not do what he did. So yes, maybe the Dragons saw it as an opportunity to create cap space, but he gave them a gold minted chance.

Anthony Mundine has spent his entire career getting hit and punched in the head. Sadly I don't think he had a very high braincell count prior to his career. Right now I'm amazed he can dress himself.
Just like Kanye (who also spouts hilariously stupid crap), he shouldn't be listened to on at least 99.999% of topics. It's almost mean giving this guy air-time because every sane human being knows he's a halfwit and will only listen to him for the laughs.
Yeah I'm not trying to downplay his issues, I just wish folks wouldn't give him a mouthpiece to embarass himself. Enjoy his music, which obviously required talent to create - that's enjoying him for what he's good at.
But when the guy clearly needed help and was going off the rails on the regular, everyone just filmed it and put it online for views. It's the same with Mundine - no one actually wants to listen to the stuff he says, they just want to laugh at him. The reason he was reported on was so we could all say "Oh wow, Mundine is a moron...still". It's pretty dodgy journalism.
When the question is "What does Mundine think about this moral quandary?"
The right answer is "Nobody cares."
