  If you feel the need to slur people about their sexuality, gender or race I think you deserve what's coming to you.

    All that happens is the spiteful behaviour will increase.I call my mates,c**nts,pooftas,Fags and they call me the same.Do you think we go running off to the authorities and look for a windfall?I will repeat my favourite quotation:"If gays can take a c*ck up their arse,then they should be able to take a joke also".

    I see this as a restriction on freedom of speech.My brother is gay and you should hear some of the things he says about his fellow pillow-biters.Football is a hard contact sport and if a word is enough to send you crying to teacher,then maybe you should take up croquet or tiddly-winks instead.

  $10,000 bit harsh , listen to how teenagers talk they always use homophobic slurs as a way to tell someone off. Warming will be fine

  The only way to stop this behaviour in society is to stamp it out, and drawing attention to the issue in mainstream media and by high profile members of the community will help that happen.

    That's true, you can't tell people who they have to like or accept - but you can tell people that it's not okay to discriminate, taunt, abuse or segregate minorities in society

    Anti discrimination laws say otherwise Fong. Not hiring because of race is illegal. Not liking a 'race' is a super ignorant thing to do. Race says nothing about a person other than a few strands of DNA.
    
    I've met arse holes of all creeds and colours, likewise nice people. Make a generalisation by race and I'll find you an exception with ease.
