  • That article is pure speculation
  • they r talking about releasing inu at the end of this season right? not now?

i would say release inu and nathan cayless. and if need be grothe. that should free up enough money to secure KK and mateo.

i really really hope KK gets the starting 7 jersey. he will kill it
  • I would call it more of an educated guess. Parra has openly admitted they shopped him around last year. Common sense would suggest he will be sacrifised to keep others.
    • 'educated' and the Daily Terrorgraph are mutually exclusive
  • the daily telecrap are full of themselves, where do they get off saying" Inu will be shown the door" ? They even have the nerve to put a big red cross over him" there has been no mention of this by anyone in the story.
  • i been saying since last year that inu has to go...Reason being :we have plenty of depth in his position..
I doubt it is speculation that article.. IMO signing mortimer means we will have to let someone go.. Inu unfortunately will have to go if we cannot afford to keep all... and If it were not about money and we simply had to release 1 of the 3.. I would keep mateo 1st and kk 2ndly so that would leave inu in the dark...
I think you will also find now that morts has re signed he will eventually wear the NO#7 and KK the #6 not other way round like most think.
  • Agreed the big red cross is harsh!
  • I think you will find Mateo will be the big target, Inu will probably be offered a contract but at a much lower level than his current contract.
In reality I think Cayless will be given the opportunity to leave or take a lower contract, but I can't see them letting him go. It would be a tragedy for Nathan Cayless to ever paly against the Eels or retire before he his ready. Everyone has been bagging him, but he has captained Parra for longer than any other player has ever captained one club, and has always put in. He has busted his guts during the lean years when we had no firepower, so he should be shown loyalty until the end.
  • I really think Inu will stuggle to get the $$$ elsewhere that he gets now........ He really needs to do himself and the EELS a favor and play out of his skin to secure a good deal, whether it be at EELS or wherever..........
  • He is still young in his career and has plenty of potential but he really needs to step up. If he dosent, then mateo and kk will be our next signings.
