Inu or Reddy?

Having watched the Manly game last night I think Kris has to be retained for next week. Manly have big centres and I think Kris' physical defence is needed to combat that. Correct me if I'm wrong but whoever is in the side will line up on Williams and I think T-Rex will really struggle to contain Inu.

What do you think?

  • Hard call. Inu is probably a bit more intimidating in defence than Reddy, so yeah, Inu. I'd hate to be choosing between them though. T-Rex is a bit of an over-rated enigma in my opinion and will struggle against any of our centres. I still say he is a back rower!
  • I think Daniel Anderson doesnt think like you Phil! If Reddy is fit, Reddy will play as he is always picked in that position. I dont think Ando will consider the merits of Inu v Reddy and the ability to stop and/or beat T-Rex.

From my point of view I'd keep Inu there as he didn't do anything last week to warrant being dropped and he gives more spark in attack out wide than Reddy.
  • Inu went pretty well against the Dragons, it would be a shame to take him out of the team now when his confidence is on the verge of getting back to where it should be. Honestly if he could go out there this week and school Big T then I would dare say that it would have him back to his peak.

In saying that though Joel Reddy was outstanding last year in attack and defense and although he isn't as naturally talented as Krisnan he is an out and out rugby league player and when you send him out there you know exactly what your going to get from him.

Look its a hard choice and we're lucky to be in the position to have 2 players who would walk into any other backline in the NRL fighting for one position. We may have our hand forced regardless as I was under the impression that Reddy was in considerable doubt for this weeks game anyway.

P.S Tony Williams actually defended as well as I had ever seen him last night, he did drfit off towards the end of the game and was found out a coupple of times, but his first half was outstanding he saved a certain try and every time the Tigers went that way they got monstered. Me thinks this might be the year T-Rex finally stamps himself in 1st grade.
  • I would have Inu and Tahu as I have said since the pre season. It really just gives a double threat with two centres who can create for themselves with footwork and strength.

But I think Ando will go with Reddy.
  • Reddy for me

Consistent week in and week out
  • I'm sure Reddy will be there if he is fit, but I think when you've got two players who are equally as good as each other you've got to look at who you're facing up to each week.

The other thing is Joel obviously has a dodgy hammy at the moment. It was in doubt prior to the game and then he had a run in the warm-up and it didn't come up, so for me you don't rush those kinds of injuries when you've got sucg great talent on standby. I can understand why Joel wants to get back as quickly as possible as he doesn't want to lose his spot, but he should be 100 per cent.
  • 3. Inu

    17. Reddy (if fit to play)
  • Im a big fan of Reddy but your right 1eyed,Inu's footwork would have Williams in all sorts of trouble.
  • I think Ando may have told a bit of a porky in the post game press conference. He was asked whether Reddy came in with the problem and categorically stated that there was no prior problem and the injury took place during the warm up. I had great seats in the Western Terrace and the warm ups were taking place right in front of me. From the moment he came on Inu was warming up as if he was going to play. Then half way through Reddy left the field and didn't come back. It's very uncommon for a coach to have an 18th man just in case an uninjured player sustains an injury.
    • Considering I reported on here around midday that there was a problem, and it just happened to work out exactly as I was told, I'd say that's very much the case.
