Inu in for Reddy

Joel Reddy has pleaded guilt to a Grade 2 Striking charge and will miss next week's match against South Sydney.

Inu comes into the number three jersey, which will otherwise line up in the same formation as last week with Kris Keating in six, Daniel Mortimer in seven and Jeff Robson.

Please note, this is an updated team contrary to the side named earlier today.

  • Good looking team.

In the first email received today (initial team list) it said that Hindy is being honoured by being given the co-captaincy. No need to read anything more into it other than that. On 9 news tonight they threw all of the speculation questions up (other than the obvious one) and it was a most unhelpful story.
  • I so reckon they're gonna run their huge forwards at our little guys. Gonna need Ben Smith and Hindmarsh to DEFEND hugely otherwise they'll look to make speed humps out of Mortimer. They have a massive pack.
  • Same team, waiting for the same inept performance...What is Anderson doing...Mateo carves them up to set up the second try and what and what does Ando take him off...if he cant play 80 what good is he.Robson good at hooker gave some spark and his defence was great.. they all need to stand up Hayne can;t do it all by himself..
  • Inu should be permanent. Too good to leave out. Needs to build confidence but so does the whole team. Wants to stay at Parra. Move Mateo to 6. Play Robson at 9. Morts at 7 and I think the scrum needs more speed. Play Reddy at Lock. He's very good defensively and will cause havoc with more ball.
  • This looks like a pretty awesome team with all players at their best and its a bloody shame that we haven't seen this team in full flight. Hopefully the players can find some form and we can see it soon.

I was just looking at the balance of the forward pack, as I have written in another blog regarding this. It occured to me that Tim Mannah might go OK starting the game in the second row for Ben Smith. That way we might get some go forward early in the match. We really do miss Shackleton in the second row to provide some balance to this side.
  • A very strong lineup to celebrate Hindmarshs great achievement.
  • this will see if our forward pack has, the heart or the steal, come on boys. get up for Hindy
  • He was taken off because he quite often forgets that rugby league also involves defence. He is the laziest player in the club.
    • Mateo could have stopped the Thompson try before it began. He was close enough to tackle him when he was still around the half way line. Replays clearly showed that it was a lack of desire and effort.
You compare that to the Horo tackle in the in goal to secure a repeat set and you see a very different amount of commitment and effort.
  • My line up would have been

Mateo at five eight, he gives u a playmaker which we don’t have in the half’s at the moment

Mortimer gives u some zip out of dummy half and should gain more confidence

And you start with your best forward pack
