The Foxx rumour won't go away, and Parra do need a winger - but there are cheaper and better options out there.
  • Tupou would actually be a really smart signing if we are truly interested. Heavily experienced, reliable and consistent. Similar to Fergo's signing a couple of years ago and isn't going to chew up a long term spot if we identify a younger guy over the next couple of years.

Perhaps his biggest attribute is being so safe under the high ball and a very good metre eater which can really benefit our set starts.

    • Agree on Tupou. In addition to having better stats than JAC, he seems to have a far more mature attitude and is well grounded. Basically, not a dickhead.

    • He fits our age requirement box. We would be able to land him by offering him at least 3 years.

      • Yes, our age requirement is so old when we have an average of 25.

        • We didn't sign them though.  What's the average age of the established NRL players we usually sign ?

          • What's the average age of established NRL players? Established implies age to an extent.

You're leading the witness to try and get the answer you want Wiz.

Our recruitment has been shocking in some instances over the years but our team average age has always been pretty standard when compared with the rest in the league.

            • Established , as in has played NRL regularly . I mean , kids start at what , 22/ 23 yeah ? How do you get to the conclusion that only 31 - 33  years of age is established ?  Like Reed Mahoney would be very much established. He's 25 .

players that played a season or two previously as the first choice in their relevant position at their relevant club.  Our established signings are the likes of Fergo , Hodgson or Rein . Granted a few mid season buys like Joe O bring the age average down a bit . But anyone we've bought that's been anyone seem to be in their twighlight years.

    • Yep yep and yep

  • We should never have let Tupou go as a junior to begin with 7 foot tall and runs like the wind - nah he won't make it.
