I have just watched the replay of League Life on Fox Sport. The guest was Alex McKinnon, well known for the ghastly injury that ended his football career. What a magnificent young man that he is! Very well spoken, presents himself with dignity and with optimism. He has progressed in the right direction and he reported that he is still improving which is unusual three years after the incident. He is educating himself looking for employment down the track. He has been helped and is being helped by many people still. He has now no resentment about what happened and has moved on and looking forward to the future. He is getting married in October. His partner was in the studio but not on camera except for one or two brief shots. I would say those two are made for each other--a marriage made in heaven even--coming from a bloke who does not believe that stuff. I am sure that Alex will bring hope to some thousand of people either in similar circumstances or with other illness. And what human being can do more than that? I would also like to praise the four ladies who run that show. They do it with sensibility that the male species can only wonder about---it is the best league show on TV.

Chris : I agree to what you say about that show in general. Should be on for greater than 30 minutes as you suggest. Agree also with your thoughts on the guests.
