Injury Update: Sean Russell

Sean Russell has been sidelined indefinitely with fractured ribs and a punctured lung.

Russell has spent the night in hospital after suffering the injuries while scoring his third try in yesterday's win over the Gold Coast Titans.

The Club will be monitoring Sean over the following week to assess his recovery schedule.

At this stage, the Club is unsure when he will return but will provide an update when his prognosis is clearer.

The Eels' winger left the field in the 33rd minute after his impressive first-half hat-trick.

  • Ah our wingers are having no luck :(

We need to sign a quality replacement for the time being cause Naiduki is terrible after the displays I've seen from him..

  • Cannot believe that Campbell was not charged! Disgraceful

    • Yep. Free pass for the grub while Russell suffers in hospital with fractured ribs and a punctured lung.

We need to buy a replacement as our reserve backs are average.

      • What current good wingers are available on the market? Can you seriously see the Eels recruitment team purchasing a winger asap

        • Not really ParraTrooper.

Let's face it, they didn't chase any talented wingers in the off season so I doubt they will now.

  • Do we put Nuikore to centres and Blake to wing..

    • BAs mulling over moving Reed to Centres, Blake to wing and bringing in Matthew Arthur as hooker.

      • Moses to Prop, RCG to the Centres

        • Thats what i heard too Mutt, JA has impressed so much that he's forced Moses out of the halves and into the front row.

          • There might be a spot in our women's side for the Mrs.
