"I really like Samrani but if JR decides to give him up for MB I think that is a massive mistake.
IMO Samrani should be 1st drop for either centre/ wing if one of our starters is out. Brian Kelly is bog average and not going to get better.

"So u boys reckon he was signed for depth? I was hoping we'd see him combine with Fox on the left, but Ryles knows more. Samrani has the jump on him? we have too sit and watch tomorrow night. Stressing "
"Yes going off those stats he's definitely picked up an injury "

Qld has proven that the best chance of sucess comes from staying with the core group of players that have WON SERIES before.
Injury and unavailabilty do not factor into this equation
Answer INCUMBENTS
Yes, but trying to emulate another teams road to success isn't always the right way to go either. I'm a big fan of having your best players on the park and they aren't always the same group of blokes year after year.
Whilst I agree we should try to make minimal changes, we need to have our best players taking the field every year. Something we have consistently failed to do. And all this talk of club combinations and incumbents has been hurting the Blues more than it's been helping.
I also agree with brissyeel. The reason QLD pick the same blokes each year hasn't got anything to do with loyalty, that's just a tagline they use to sell their culture to the players. Sure it works for them but the fact is they pick the same players because they are consistently their best and they pick their best players to start with.
The questions I have to ask are J. Reynolds and Hodkinson the best 2 halves NSW has to offer and are they the players we want going forward? If it were me I would want A. Reynolds and Pearce. I know they both play right side but like I said I want the best players on the park and so far they're my pick from the first round. I think if you had Reynolds at halfback doing all the kicking and organizing you could move Pearce to 5/8 as he's a solid defender with a good running game.
Just my 2 cents anyway.
I can't ignore the form of Adam Reynolds. I think if he's firing you've got to put him in and if you put him in I'd be tempted to put Luke Keary because of their combination.
It's a hard call. It's hard to ignore the Roosters combo but I think Pearce has had his chance at Origin level and not shown the goods.
Have incumbents in for most positions but the spine should be picked on form, which at moment would probably be Souffs halves. Think need to pick a single clubs halves as have formed a good combination.
NSW are trying desperately to make Corey Norman a blue.
