The Eels players are not inspired to work, because they know, if they don't play well or don't put in, they won't get dropped. They know that if the coaches plan didn't work this week, they'll still go out and have to do exactly the same thing next week. Theres no 'they are onto us, how do we fix this' only the 'trust the process' approach.
I dont know what goes on behind the closed doors of the dressing room at half time or after games, but it doesn't matter if the coach is ranting and raving , this would fall on deaf ears, because the players know that in the end, the same players will take the field next week and run exactly the same plays, relying on the opposition to put in a lesser effort rather than themselves to put in a better one.
Shit players or shit efforts need to be brutally called out, consistent poor performances need to be answered with dropping from the team. Players respond with consistent high quality effort to ruthless coaches like Bellamy, Cleary and that Potato from the Roosters, because they know if they don't play with maximum effort , there are immediate consequences.
Until BA stops babying this side with his primary school like 'everyone gets a medal' coaching style, the playing group will remain consistently inconsistent.

The sad thing is Brad blames us not running hard enough if we are losing.
It's hilarious really.
