  That would have been a garenteed premiership. With our forwards they would have run amok together.

    Dugan was also interested, maybe running of Foran (for 4years) was a good draw card we did not take advantage of
    Was it because we planned to stick by Hoppa and therefore could not afford it
    Or are we just hoping to make do at FB until JH has a second coming?

    Dugan is a goose im glad he is nowhere near our squad. I wouldnt even put this selectors pet in the top 5 nsw fullbacks yet he is picked every time and given glowing raps for mediocre performances.

  You're absolutely correct, then our next step should of been getting Thurston then we should of got Hayne to stay then we should of got a few Origin forwards and then we really should of got Wayne Bennett..

    The difference is that Brett Stewart actually wanted to come here (according to the rumours)

    This was a real consideration (if rumours true). We could not afford him but if we did not resign Hoppa and a few others maybe we could have
