Improved NYC next year

I am looking forward to an improved NYC team at Parra. All those young blokes brought up into the team last year wil be a year older and a little bigger.

It will also be good to see Loko get a full year of NYC next year. That will be good for his development.

  • Keep your eyes on Cruse Bickey guys.

If he is nurtured correctly he will be a gamebreaker in any team.
  • what about Paki Afu?
  • I think you'll find the side looks like this a couple of those guys are no longer eligible

Brown and Rogers are to old for NYC next season. As is Afu.

The best thing about that team is most of them can go around again next season as well.
  • Thanks Jordan, you are wright, Brown and Rogers are to old. Will fix that on my list.

Is Mathew Eisenhuth still with the eels. I thought he was signed by another club.
  • Jacob Gagan is still only 17 turning 18 this season.

I had a chat to someone from the club the other day, they have big, big, big raps on him think he is all class and plays the game with a maturity well beyond his years.

He even told me that it wouldn't be beyond the realms of imagination if he played first grade this season. Obviously that would be dependant on a lot of things however it puts into perspective how much they rate him.
  • Always good to see a number of kids with potential coming through the ranks across a variety of positions.
Looking at our 1st grade team, we'll need 1 or two young wingers develop, 1 or two young centres develop and a second rower develop over the next couple of years, and looks like we have a few options there at themoment.
  • Really hoping that the forwards we have in Peni Terepo, Pat O'Hanlon, Rory Brien and PJ Asiati in particular can really solidify themselves as some of the NYC's best front-rowers and second-rowers respectively.

Brien in particular was amazingly consistent last year, and the numbers he racks up?
He's like Petero and Hindy rolled into one, in that he makes constant metres, yet still tackles like a machine.
Looking forward to seeing him continue it.
  • so what will our Wenty team be like? who moves up from toyota cup apart from SIO?
