Im looking for Parramatta supporters for 2015.

I have decided to carry out a supporter recruitment drive during the off season for the Parramatta Eels.

Im sure that Ill receive heat on this, but it has become apparent to me that quite a few on here are claiming to be supporters, however your performance on a week to week basis has been less than average at best. So those who regularly throw in personal attacks on players, coaches etc will be dropped from my FG supporters team to reserve grade next year, unless I can see an improvement in the fundamentals of being a supporter.

The club has turned the Board, staff, players, team etc around and are now heading in the right direction. The only group who has not changed is the supporters.

Now, as you know, many on here have been supporters for a long time. However I feel that a large number have lost their way and instead of supporting, are quick to personally attack rather than be realistic about where we are and how our players are performing.

We say it would be good to have players on this site; however I cannot see why any of them would want to come on here and submit themselves to the hate that is written in many blogs.

We have some that ride every new player into the ground and then recount those that they were ‘proven’ right on, choosing to ignore those who improved and not admitting they were wrong and the player should be praised.

Im not talking about going unicorn, there is nothing wrong with being upset and frustrated with a team that produced a game like that against the Knights, however a realist would know that the whole team underperformed and it wasn’t the fault of individuals. Plus our team now needs support to regroup and win against the Raiders.

Unfortunately as a society, we have evolved into people who not only discuss, analyse and put forward possible solutions. We have become the unproven experts, the baseless visionaries and then throw in the individual personal attack. Eg I disagree with Tony Abbotts policy on human rights and he’s a wanker.

Intellectuals don’t need to stoop to name calling and insults if they truly have an opinion worth discussing or debating. If you look back over the season, our most venomous blogs have come after heavy losses and after wins we are usually are much more positive, does that make us a fickle follower.

Who will admit that if they were coach, the team would have walked by now due to your continual personal attacks; that you would be struggling to sign the supposed ‘superstars’ you need because of the reality of the salary cap. And man management is easy when you are doing it from the sidelines.

Who will support their team as a team and as a realist with some unicorn blood running through their veins?

Support: as in lift up, encourage. Not criticise and pull down.

Addendum. Mid season transfer is automatically approved if we aren't in the top 4 by March.

      3) Agreed, is there anywhere else.

      4) Agreed, but you're soft.

      5) Agreed, I'll be doing the same. But trying to keep the personal insults out of it.

      6) Disagree, I dont think the good people of Parramatta need to see that.

      Addendum, I'll think about it.
