In protest to recent decisions regarding broncos games and nrl being blind to everything that occurs north of the border I turned off the footy tonight and won't watch broncos unless parra are involved or possibly final games. I have watched every game every week for as long as I can remember even recording games when I was away watching them prior to the start of the next round.I'm sick of dodgy decisions always going broncos way by refs and bunker.I'm sick of unfair advantage their players have with recovery and time spent with family on weekends with unfair draw. A happy player is better then unhappy player who misses lot family events on weekends.I'm sick of advantages club get over others to attract players by being on prime time and attracting major sponsors others miss out out on due to no free to air coverage.I'm sick of bronco players being untouchable when they are involved in scandal after scandal. How do the bunker who watch a simple put down for a try 10 times when 1 view shows fair try, only watch 1 view of ball coming loose from Wallace and say broncos didn't play at it. OK so broncos didn't play at it but which direction did ball go. Clearly backwards so play on. Did any bunker officials get stood down from last weekend.Penrith will go on to lose big tonight and people will say it didn't matter. That is not true. For a side coming off poor form the change in momentum with that early try and being in front of broncos is a game changer.Archer will come out and say a mistake was made and media will move on cause it's the broncos. It seems that refs will always give sides expected to go well in season such as storm and broncos the 50/50 calls prob 90% of time till game is in balance when they try even it up with few soft calls and penalties against them. I understand that refs are scared of backlash of costing a side a top 4 or top 8 with bad call so go easy option of calling with the top teams. Watch the knights and they have not had one 50/50 call all year unless it last couple minutes or game is out of reach.I hope hook gets the sack from penrith this week and takes nrl and refs to court for incompetence costing him his job. In court the nrl will have to reveal what they do to stop these mistakes occurring again, what was done after last weeks bunker decision being ruled as wrong by head referee etc...I'm going miss my Thurs and Fri footy as it means an extra day before I get to watch the game I love but a stand needs to be taken.

  • Melbourne have to win to justify the money spent by the NRL on the club. Brisbane have to win to keep the Queenslanders from jumping to the AFL. At least I think that's how it goes. Not sure where Western Sydney sits in priorities - must be pretty low, and Newcastle is even lower.
  • Shame. You missed some good footy.
  • Must be that time of month

    • I didn't say u or anyone else had to care but thanks for reading and taking time to comment. I pass over a lot of blogs cause I don't care or agree but thanks for taking time show how simple and stupid u are for wasting time on something u don't care about.
  • I wish I knew how as a fan to stop the corruption. We will get penalised out of the game tomorrow night they will get it all. Will take a good team effort just to stay in touch. I emailed em no reply.
  • have fun not watching the game tomorrow dumbarse

    • Thanks browny but I'm not concerned about name calling and some of trolls on here. Opinions are like @rseholes everyone has 1.
I have stated my opinion and no doubt will still watch and be in involved in the game a lot more then some of fair weather fans on here, not to mention the people who obviously don't watch or have any knowledge on game.
  • Agree!
  • I see what you are trying to say mate. Don't worry, I agree in the most part about that club. It's why they're my most despised team.

What grinds my gears the absolute most is when the NRL finally cracked it with their dodgy dealings and Andrew Gee simply stepped down. He was their only chip to get confessions of the in house rorting that they were doing for years and because he stepped down they couldn't touch him.

  • And more proof that broncos get more favours from media in tomorrow's paper. Ofahengaue returned to broncos side for first game of the season 1 week before his court appearance tomorrow for trouble and cheating at casino.
Funny how no reports prior to his return until after tonights game so he didn't have to deal with media scrutiny like other players at different clubs for trouble that didn't involve charges such as breaking curfews etc. The broncos cover up culture is worse then repeat offenders the bulldogs.
It would have been all over papers, radio and TV if player was from another team.

I know by myself it doesn't change anything by boycotting broncos games but living in Brisbane I know many other people who refuse to watch broncos games unless there team is playing as they see the blatant bias and extra help broncos get. This is despite having every other legal advantage that goes with being the most supported sport team in any code in qld andbone of top supported teams in the country.
The thing that annoys me most is they would still hold massive advantages over every other club without the extra support from media, refs and nrl.
