It appears that the first outcome of last night`s result, a failure, will be retaining Arthur as coach for next year! I presaged this a couple of weeks ago when I said that the Eels dumb administration would put up a statue to Arthur and make him coach in perpetuity if the Eels would win that particular game. Well, here we are again facing a ninth consecutive year of failure, of coming last--we did not win so we come last. See Title. But nothing but admiration for the Eels players who gave their all in the semifinal series. Missing out on the final four made their task next to impossible. They were in a position to make the final four for much of the season but faltered at the back end of the season--a characteristic of Arthur's coaching, of course. However, there are some positives to emerge. The success of the young fellas coming through and the Kiwis who emerged halfway through the season warms the cockels of one`s heart of better things to come

I see you still haven't found the reply button.....shame that.
You realise the phrase "If you don't come first, you're last" comes from that movie comedy Talledega Nights? It's used in that movie because it is such a ludicrous sentiment and it makes zero sense. Good to see you've latched onto it as a truism. Haha
Here's another supporter that thinks we won the premiership last night......
Scott
Are you referring to me?
Mutt
Trolls gonna troll
Maybe its time for Dreggsie and Robert to go hand in hand for their own person HIA's.
I'm thinking failure's to pass should come up with some long term therapy.....we have some fine asylum's in Qld
Dreggs can't afford to lose his shifts at Greggs Gloryhole
Brilliant Sluggy, I have a feeling that might have gone over some heads! LOL
You're a moron if this is truly and honestly how your brain functions I feel sorry for you
Some will say Robert Lloyd is an idiot by posting this but in essence he is correct.
We are in the NRLs longest current running premiership drought and we familiarly dropped out in the 2nd week of the semis. Yes it's good to make the semis but they don't hand out trophies or premiership rings for that accomplishment.
In Rugby League we don't hand out participation awards so in essence if you aren't coming first then you aren't winning. And I for one want to win. I'm sick of losing. I'm sick of being close but not good enough.
We need to get over this hump we find ourselves stuck on.
We need to get this monkey off our back or we will become the modern day version of the North Sydney Bears and the continued laughing stock of other teams fans for decades to come.
Over to you the Parra board and decision makers. Think well before committing to the next coaching appointment.
