If we loose Poore

aiight ladies and gents, it's no secret that we have a real lack of quality depth in the front and second row. With the loss of Shackleton already and the possible exclusion of Justin Poore who would we be looking at promoting. Obviously Fui would come into the starting line up, but who would come onto the bench.

Me personally would love to see big Pele come onto the bench but , he ain't in our top 25. The only other forward in our top 25 is justin Horo, but from what i saw of him in the Penrith trial i ain't the biggest fan. Our other options would be to play a big centre like jono wright or Inu of the bench and play them in the second row.

We really can't afford to loose another forward, but me being a pesimist, i think he's looking at 1-2 weeks.

  • yep, one word... Pele. (only cause i can't spell his last name)

Or maybe send parradise/parra eels in there, he'll show em a thing or two about attitude and then sustain a pretty nasty concussion. Everybody wins !
  • I was wondering the same thing and I couldn't come up with an answer. Certainly not much depth in this area at Parra right now.
  • just watched the replay

BBG i think your right ...it doesnt look good for POORE at all
  • He should get the same as rose did if they are consistent but we all know that mightn't happen
  • yeh i'm stumped and can't think of a good soloution. Of course i have already stated that i would like to see Pele come in, but what are the chances of DA bringing in an out of squad member for a round 3 clash.

if i was a betting man ( which i am), i'd be saying Horo.

    BBG out.
  • It'd be Inu for mine. He's certainly big and fast enough and his defence is great. You could even slot him in the back line and consider putting Reddy in the back row. Either or.

I'd really like to see Tom Humble get a run in the backs at some stage. There's a potential superstar for you. The kid's an excitement machine.
  • Big Pele Peleletelese or whatever it is.

If Poore goes then we will certainly need to retain some size and he is one big guy.

Otherwise we are just going to see a repeat of last year where it was basically Fui vs the world.

"Blake was good in 2019 as he only joined mid season that year. From 2020 he was horrible. He did have a decent end to the season when we got knocked out my Penrith in the finals in a close game, but that's about it. "

"Newcastle won too without Ponga. But injuries have effected our seasons, 2025 will be fine."
