Mate, we are 50-50 chance with Tigers and 10% chance with StGeorge.
So Im not putting my house on a finals birth, but I will support them and hope for one.
Dont like our changes with all our injures.
Tigers looked good the other night against the bunnies and Dragons have been too consistent, although we always seem to aim up against the better sides. I.E bunnies and cowboys.
That's NRL. You have to take your chances and we haven't taken them.
I think we are sitting where we deserve to be based on form. If we can find that killer instinct we've been missing we still have a shot. There are no excuses in NRL, close means nothing. You either take your chance or you don't. Win or lose nothing in between.
We are facing a huge task, I have said that we need to get around 28 points by round 26 to be a good chance of being in the top 8.
Given we are currently on 10 points, taking out the 2 byes, that means we need to win 7 of our last 10 games, so very little room for any losses, that is a 70% winning percentage. Using stats to work out our chances, the team is currently winning at 35% (5 wins from 14 games) and BA winning % around 45% that means the team needs to double its current winning % and BA needs to increase his win rate by 55%..And the win against the Storm was against a second string side and we need to go up a few levels against the Dragons next week.
From a Stats perspective it will be a large turnaround and when you look at the odds you can get on the betting agencies this reflects this. Not saying we cant do it but the second half of the season will need to be a doubling of our efforts in the first half. Given the closeness of a lot of our losses there is a good chance they can do it.. The next home game against the Dragons is a MUST WIN.
