Hopefully we can expect lots of Sivo Sivo Sivo chants in 2024 . I saw the Hayne article in this news post. Gee Hayne has put on a lot of weight. Maybe on anti depression medication. Sad to see his career end this way.
very sad. Apparently his accuser is now gearing up for the civil actions. So he still has his appeal to get through for the crimminal proceedings and then onto the civil case....which by then he will need legal aid as Im sure his financial resources are almost spent.....what a fall ....he should be basking in career ending wealth and all the big end of town connections ....wow
How horrible is jail.As an 18 yr old I spent a night in jail being charged with a trumped up charge of offensive behaviour. It drove me crazy being locked up . Lights on all night, walls with comments from previous inmates. Going to court the next day in thongs and jeans amongst people on suits.
I saw something today about Julian Assange spending 4 years in isolation detention of a maximum security prison which is sending him crazy. Lots of inmates in isolation detention for over a month attempt all sorts of ways to commit suicide. It must be especially difficult for inmates who are innocent and thrown into jail on political charges when thinking they are doing the right thing. Torcher like isolation detention done over a long time is absolutely cruel. Out of sight out of mind for the rest of society Lots of terrible things people do to each other. I can understand some people need to be jailed but solitary confinement is pretty extreme.
I think Hayne would love to have done things differently in the one day that destroyed a lot of his life. Probably could happen to anyone.
I only one night!!! When I was 14 three mates and myself decided to run away from home and look for jobs in the country. We ended up in Narabri with no money, no food and nothing. We went into a café and ordered the big breakfast had a good feed, and then bolded out the door. We were caught and arrested and held in Narabri jail for a week. Our heads were shaved and we were given half a loaf of bread a day and a can of golden syrup we stay there until our parents come to pick us up a week later. One of the inmates his name was Sweeney gave us some very very suspicious looks. It is funny now but it wasn’t funny then.
"If anyone here has not listened to the Pykes Nursery call, do yourself a favour.
Even if you have heard it before, do yourself a favour hahahahah.
The golden tonsils is gone, but will be always be remembered. My Dad loved him and listened to him…"

I'm shocked he's the fittest in our club because he's one of the laziest wing in the NRL
Yeah Zips heart is a difficult stat to measure
Panic. The sky is falling. Half the teams didnt even supply anything. We gave a name. Pretty meaningless.
Telstra Tracker showed he was the 3rd fastest in the NRL.
Players and staff have commented he is extremely strong in the gym.
I think we will survive even if it is true.

A week would feel like an eternity for a kid in a small cell
if it happened today we would've been put up in a five star motel.
