It isn't confirmed and just like rumours on here probably based on nothing other than someone's imagination.
Even if it is true how do you know we didn't chase them but they chose the dogs. Signing players isn't just about money offered there plenty of other factors.
To two tough no holds barred footballers . Would have been good pick ups .
We are are so inactive In player recruitment . If we are active we are very unsuccessfulat actually snaring decent players .
Or maybe we are concentrating on internal improvement ?

But, how effective will they be away from the Melbourne system ?
Honestly, name one player Melbourne have let walk who gets better at another club ?
He hasn’t gotten better, but he didn’t leave for more money anyway.
He's a good player, so is Welch, but their value is inflated because they play in the Melbourne system with Cam Smith & Munster.
Now if those two were coming with him ....
Inglis, Gareth Widdop, james Maloney, Israel Folau, Matt Orford
James Maloney barely played in Melbourne, Gareth Widdop didn't get better, he just got more opportunity, Izzy definitely didn't get better, certainly not the Broncos, Matt Orford was in the early days of Craig Bellamy's reign, and GI's best years were in Melbourne.
