If the NRL were not hypocrites would we be playing tonight?

I have been confronted by Sharks fans today because I have had my Parra Jersey on all day." Why would you have that on Parra is no playing"? I informed them that if the NRL were not hypocrites we would be. It really gets up their noses when I said it would be a hollow victory if they were to win since the best team in 2016 got screwed by the NRL.

  • I don't believe we would have made it that far this year.
  • no. to many injuries and too much cap not playing.

but we would have made the finals.

  • We beat the dogs twice, Broncos once, the refs screwed us against Penrith, beat Cowboys and then had our team ripped apart. I went to Shark park for the Parra game and with half a team almost beat them. I really believe we would have given it a shake.
  • Ahhhh Brad. Stop teasing yourself. Great times ahead mate...great times ahead. Look at our situation with unbiased eyes my friend. It was the year that was needed to clear out the deadwood in management!! There was no other way those clowns were ever going to leave and thus we were just plodding water!
  • I agree with part eel nut. It just gets my goat that the NRL introduce a salary cap making clubs like Parra to shed juniors and then introduce a bullshit TPA system to benefit the one town teams at the peril of most Sydney clubs. Simply put the NRL created a system that if you don't cheat you don't compete.
  • Browny, that's my point, we should not have had to lose Juniour and Peats. Norman was put out what about the Broncos player.
  • I think we'll win it in the next five years, with this year making us stronger. I don't think we would of won it this year, but would made the finals
  • No mate it's next year, my son just pointed it out for me
    2001 grand final
    2009 grand final
    2017 grand final
  • I actually think through the first 8 or 9 rounds we were the best Sydney team. At full strength I think we beat the Sharks. We were defending really well and our attack was starting to gell with the 30 to 6 win v the raiders the high point
