French is contracted at Parramatta until the end of the 2018 season, but he intends to remain in the Blue and Gold for much longer.
“Hopefully I can stay a one-club player — that’s the dream,” he said.
“Long-term I definitely want to stay here.
“It’s a rebuilding stage at the moment, but I’ve signed here for another two years and I want to be a part of that.
“It hasn’t been easy (with the cap issues), but it has taught me to have a positive attitude towards everything, even if there is a lot of drama going on.
“We could use that outside stuff as an excuse to roll over and let sides come away with the win, but we’ve picked up a few tough wins and I think that shows how mentally strong we are.”

Good on you Bev. - Showing all the signs of the new Luke Burt. He knows where the line is, a great player, down to earth with speed to burn. And a guy in the BA mould who loves the club. - I reckon he is being introduced to 1st grade brilliantly by BA
Understand what you're saying Angry, but what I was trying to get across, was small bloke, both played fullback/wing & love the club with a passion. - I'm 60 yo & if I ever had the chance to play for Parra, I would not take an offer anywhere else, even for more money. - Like the golden Eels, Sterling Kenny Ella & Price did. For the love of the club. - Burty epitomises that & I think Bev does too
Then I think we plan to have both wingers here next year
I would be trying to hang on to Bureta as I think he would be good outside of Jennings. Moving forward if French ends up at fullback we need decent size wingers for kick returns so this is him to a tee.
